На этот раз настрелять удалось только black drummer’ов. Кинги были маленькие, а снепперы, вообще сбежали куда-то... Зато лодочку покрасили свежей краской, должна отпугивать зубастиков, наверное.

Sydney, North Bondi, 28.03.2018, 8:20 am - 1:20 pm.
Laying on a rock for about a minute 13 meters below the surface and thinking about the beauty of the underwater world suddenly I realized that a king fish is glazing at me trying to understand if this strange creature in a wetsuit is worth its attention or not. ‘Such a nice model to take a video with’ - the thought sparked in my mind. I turned the speargun with the camera towards the model. A few moments later I saw a bigger brother of the fish embodied from the turbid sea. Shot sound of the shoot and I headed to the surface unwinding the line from the reel. 1 minute to restore my breath in the air was enough for the prey to entangle the line around the rocks on the bottom. Next spark in my mind: ‘It was really wise to take a shaft with a slip tip. It works well denying the king fish an opportunity to tear away the shaft by a rock’ . It gained some time for me but not much: a moment later I saw a pair of wobbegongs looking for the fish on my spear. Immediate dive to the fluttering king trying to save it from the shark’s teeth. Having reached the bottom I untangled as much line as I could but not enough to take the fish to the surface. Need one more dive. Going up to recharge I felt that my legs are kept by something. Short look down. Ah! I had forgotten to release my detaching weight. As a result I still had the gun floating near me attached by the rope to the weight and then to the buoy. The rope and the lane twisted around my knife on my leg and stopped me from floating up in a meter from the surface. Having put my right hand on a spare knife on my belt I rushed towards the air. Luckily I escaped the trap. Had it not been for the 1 meter I would have cut the ropes off immediately... Then was a short fight with the wobbegong and having won the battle I headed to the coast. I am sure that it was one of the most challenging dive days in my practice.
